Drilling Pre-industry Training

The ADI Drilling Pre-Industry Training course has been designed for people who have no experience in the drilling industry. The courses are held in both Brisbane and Cairns over 12 intensive days and we often have people coming from all over to complete our unique training.

The course structure is part theory based and part practical experience. What we do that is different to other training institutes is that we have actual operating drill rigs for the practical hands-on training. This means that you get to spend more than a week learning your way around the rig and the drill site, putting your learnings into practice on a daily basis. Class numbers are limited to ensure each ‘trainee driller assistant’ gets the hands-on experience on the rig in the ‘training’ crew.

On successful completion of the course you will have gained not only the nationally recognised qualification of RII20909 Certificate II in Drilling Operations, but also a number of other units that complement entering the industry.
